This is an excellent place to visit for all ages! I have been there many times. I find something different I have not seen every time! It is filled with so many different types of interest! From dinosaurs to a pioneer village and more! A great museum plus many other activities are offered here on a regular basis! Need to check their website regularly. A cafe and gift shop is also available in the main building. There are other buildings of interest, a large pond with fish, turtles, & ducks, a Japanese Garden with a Koi pond, a water mill, too many things to mention. They have a variety of venues offered. Discovery Park of America is definitely a great place to visit!

There are outdoor areas to explore, dress appropriately for the season.
The city does not have much to see besides the museum that’s why many people advocate for NOT spending the night. If you come for just a day trip, plant to arrive as soon as the museum opens and stay until it closes.
If you do spend the night, be sure to check out nearby Reelfoot Lake!
BEWARE OF SPEED TRAPS near the museum. Supposedly, there are cameras that give out speeding tickets like candy to unsuspecting tourists.
